If I Can Do It, You Can Do It
Oh my goodness, this morning I got a FB notification that reminded me that TWO years ago, I finished writing my book. I was thrilled! I thought I was finished so I popped the champagne. :)
If I would have known what 2015-2017 had in store for me, I may not have continued. Writing a book is one thing, getting it published is an entirely other ball game.
Friend, when I started writing this book, my intention was to share my difficult times and transitions with other women, so that they would know they weren't alone. And then as I kept writing and getting stronger, the intention evolved into HOPE. Hope for the reader, that they would know there is enough grace for the difficult moments, hope that the reader would know that they are plenty, hope for a community, a sisterhood of women that could walk along side each other through the transitions of life.
Over the last two years I have TRIED MY BEST. I have given this project ALL I have. I dug down REAL DEEP and gave my time, my money, my skills and my heart. THIS IS ME TRYING. And geez - it took THREE ENTIRE years from start to finish. But, I did it.
And you know what that means -- SO CAN YOU.
That dream that you are reaching for, that seems likes it's so far away - is yours to grab. All that it asks is that you keep taking tiny steps toward it, risking failure, risking looking foolish, risking frustration - which is a lot to ask!
But I learned something through all this -- it's not about having the finished product -- it's about WHO I BECAME during this process.
I am stronger from the inside out, and you will be too.
Friend, if I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT.
I'd be honored if you ordered a copy of, The Courage to Become.
Here's to HOPE + JOY for all of us.
warmly, catia
