Intention For The Week

Some of us are used to coping with distractions, shopping, eating, socializing - all sorts of ways that we cope with discomfort. It's not to say that any of these things are "bad" are on their own. Who doesn't love some new shoes? It's the energy behind which we DO THE THING.

Do we shop for new shoes because we want new shoes? Or do we shop for new shoes because we got in a fight with someone we love? See the difference?

What if instead of feeling constricted - because we are being forced to stay in our homes - we turn it on it's head and say, "We are choosing to stay home, to get grounded and stay centered and to go within?" Turning it into a CHOICE - helps you take the power back.

Just setting the intention for getting grounded, staying centered and going within puts a whole different spin on it.

Many of us have been wanting to be still for so long - and we just didn't know how to STOP THE MACHINE.

But you know what? The machine is stopping. And we are getting a chance to breathe deeply, to look around, to look inward, to feel all those feelings that we push to the side.

Friends, today I want to encourage you to set an intention - to make this a time of centering and grounding and going inward.

Don't let yourself spin, don't watch too much news, don't complain all day - all those things take you out of your power.

Instead:

  1. Go for a walk in nature

  2. Journal

  3. Meditate

  4. Schedule a Zoom chat with your friends

  5. Pray

  6. Watch my FB and Instagram Lives

  7. Write gratitude lists

  8. Draw

  9. Sing

  10. Move your body

  11. Ask for help
