True Success

Hi friends! Do you feel like it's a never-ending grind? Like true success will never come to you? A lot of people feel the same. You are not alone.

The other day I was talking to a good friend about how my biggest successes go unseen by social media, and the public.

My biggest successes are always tied to how well I love people and release them into the world to be the full version of who they are.

My husband, my daughters, my parents, my girlfriends, readers who write in and ask me for help, my one-on-one clients.

I don’t get medals for any of this. No one knows all of what I’ve given. Only God and me.

“Attention and success are not codependent. You can have success without attention and you can have attention without success.”

My reward is knowing I’m making the world a better place, healing hearts and loving people so well that they rise.🔥Removing shackles, not placing shackles, giving insane amounts of grace and freedom.🌟🙏🏽This is my life. This is my version of success.🙏🏽

One of my favorite prayers is, “Use me, God. Show me how to take who I am, who I want to be, and what I can do, and use it for a purpose greater than myself." From the brilliant Martin Luther King, Jr.

A few years ago I heard Jennie Allen say, "Don't live your life waiting to arrive."

And it just sunk deep into my spirit.

Because how many of us crave external validation -- an award, a milestone, someone to say, "you are awesome!" Droves of us. And we crave it because we have been taught to look outward instead of looking inward.

Some ways to pinpoint your very own definition of success (not culture's) is to ask yourself a few questions.

1) When I feel great, the most engaged and curious, what am I doing?
2) When I feel like I'm making a difference, what am I doing?
3) When I feel the most confident, what am I doing?
4) Who am I with when I am most myself?
5) If I'm not being bashful, what are some things I KNOW I am good at?
6) When do I feel the most at ease?

These are not easy questions. These are really hard! These will take you some time to answer. BUT - they are worth it. That's where the gold is. That's where the truest definition of success is FOR YOU! Go digging for that gold!

We have been taught that success is fame, money, big houses, notoriety, but that's all crap. Success starts on the inside.

Start BEING who you most want to be. Make yourself proud.
