Becoming JOYFUL from the Inside Out | Luck?

"That's just my luck."

"With my luck with that will never happen."

"That only happens to lucky people."

Luck is an interesting concept. It's vague. No one quite knows how to describe it. Some things just seem to fall into place for some people, and others seem to be met with wall after wall.

Here's what I know. We are co-creating our reality.

This is a hard pill to swallow, especially if we have adopted the victim mentality.

When I was publishing my first book, I signed up with a publisher and basically got swindled for $25,000.

That's right. $25,000.00

It was a LONG and arduous process. I sent them my book, I thought the company was going to catapult me into authorhood stardom and what happened was anything but that.

They took my book and placed it for sale online, without my consent. They went and put my book up on Amazon and Target and Barnes & Noble. It took me a year, $5,000 in lawyer fees and COUNTLESS hours to convince the online retailers to take down the book.

THEN, I had to go about figuring out how to publish a book. I sourced everything from the cover art to the endorsements. I did every single step.

It was hard.

And it was also hard to admit that if I hadn't been so eager for author stardom, that I would not have gone into business with this particular publisher. They wooed me and I was ready to be wooed.

I could have said, "I had such bad luck!"

But that would have left my future to chance and out of my control.

Instead, I said, "Let me learn from this, as difficult as it is, and let me make better decisions in the future."

The notion that we are co-creating our lives is not an easy one. I have a hard time with it sometimes, especially when BAD things happen.

For me, it's easier to understand that what is happening in my life is a result of my vibration ( Am I vibrating at a high level? Joy, love, peace. Or am I vibrating at a low level? Fear, anger, shame?) than a result of chance.

Of course, we don't have to look at EVERY SINGLE THING through this lens, but it helps when we do. It gives us power over our lives.

I believe that the more we are operating in love, the closer we are to God. And so I don't think that talking about vibrations separates us from God, I think it brings us closer.

But I understand how some people can be put off by the idea of energy and agency over our lives. Some people think God gives and God takes away.

I kind of think that. (You guys know I love to cherry-pick my beliefs.)

I think God is ALL. ALL knowing, all loving, all grace. I think God is beyond my comprehension. And I think the things that happen in our lives are a result of us being in flow with grace and love, or out of the flow.

Your luck is entirely what you make it.

If you make choices to be in love, to raise your vibration you will have GREAT luck, you will manifest what you want, and things will seem to flow.

Your life will have a sense of ease baked into it. Things will fall into place just when you want them to.

I believe you can have GREAT LUCK, every day.

I believe you can create the life you want and enjoy it.
